Yes! Even though I'm a democrat, I don't like the idea that people can basically get 'free money' whenever they want...
:iconramen27:
Thank you! :)

You forget about the people who go through rough spots in their life and temporarily NEED welfare.

Or, they could just get kicked out on the streets and starve to death.

I'm the the latter option would be better. It's affordable after all...
:iconramen27:
That isn't even the issue. Unemployment and disability are one thing, but hundreds of thousands of people LIVE on welfare, food stamps and other government handouts, just because they can. Many people have found a way to play the system, and it's incredibly easy to do. Maybe it takes living in one of the poorest counties of one of the country's most ailing states to realize just how many people live that way. It's selfish, lazy people like this that are the reason I make stamps like this, not people who are living on the street. Yes, I am glad there are help programs out there for people who NEED them, like any SANE person would be... but I'm unhappy about those who take advantage of the system. Some are republicans, but the majority vote democratic, the party that is known for their favor of bigger government and more handout programs.

Praise you sir.
I feel the same way.

I used to be a cashier at walmart and so I saw the abuse of food stamps all the time. People would come in there and buy like forty bags of candy instead of buying FOOD with that money. Not only that but around Christmas time I had a lady come through my line buying a bunch of toys and then a soda. Well she told me the soda was seperate from all the toys. They toys totaled up to about three hundred four hundred dollars and then she paid cash for those. But whenever the soda was rung up she paid with a food stamp card. <_< So yeah there is so much corruption with the welfare system to make a person sick.

Yep, these are perfect examples of exactly what I'm talking about!
There are so many people out there who take advantage of weaknesses either in the system or their own life, and a lot seem perfectly content with it! What really gets me is the selfishness of people like this. Not only do their misdoings carelessly add strain to the economy, but they also make it harder for honest people who NEED the help to get it.

While not all of them are democrat, a good number of them tend to vote that way because the left often favors a bigger government with larger handout programs.

Anyway, thanks for your input and favorite. Spot on!
